A Bay Luxe facial - What’s involved?
The facial begins with a thorough cleansing of the face using a gentle cleanser. This step helps remove dirt, oil, makeup and impurities from the skin's surface.
After cleansing, exfoliating takes place. This step helps to remove dead skin cells from the very surface of the skin. BUT! I like to take things to the next level by applying another exfoliating product with the use of steam to ensure those dead skin cells are gone. I need to remove the dead skin cell barrier to make a difference to your skin. Regardless of how much (or how little) you exfoliate at home.
While the steam and exfoliating mask are doing their thing you will enjoy a hand or feet scrub. Your choice!
Cupping therapy may be performed on the face to improve blood circulation, product penetration and lymphatic drainage. This helps to reduce puffiness, promote detoxification, and improve overall skin health.
Sonophoresis may also be included in your facial if I feel it necessary. This modality uses ultrasonic waves to enhance product infusion.
Additionally, any necessary extractions are performed to remove blackheads, whiteheads, or other impurities from the pores.
Following the serum infusion, a hydrojelly, silk sheet mask or clay mask is applied to your face. The mask I choose will treat your skin concerns and help to further nourish and soothe the skin. While the mask is on, you can enjoy a relaxing hand or foot massage, adding an extra touch of luxury to the treatment.
To complete the pampering experience, a gentle head massage is performed to promote relaxation and relieve tension. Additionally ‘Ginger & Me’ Skin Chill Globes may be used to massage the face, providing a cooling and soothing sensation closing the pores, reducing puffiness and promoting lymphatic drainage.
